The English and ELD Departments

Chula Vista Middle English and ELD students are provided access to relevant and powerful literature, informational texts and other media that widen perspectives, illuminate the human experience, and deepen the understandings of themselves and others.  They will develop the ability to increase their knowledge and skills to read, write, and communicate with competence and confidence.

 

Through a rhetorical approach, students access the thinking of others, their knowledge, perspectives, questions, and passions-and to share, ponder, and pursue their own.
